Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 44-year-old Tiffany M. Allen of Buffalo pleaded guilty today before State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns to one count of Vehicular Manslaughter in the Second Degree, a Class “D” felony.
On December 7, 2019, at approximately 10:13 p.m., the defendant was driving, while under the influence of alcohol, northbound on Military Road in the City of Buffalo when she hit a pedestrian with her vehicle near Skillen Street. The victim, 51-year-old Jeffrey T. Chilson, was taken to ECMC where he later died from his injuries.
Allen faces a maximum of 7 years in prison when she is sentenced on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. She continues to be released on $2,500 bail previously posted in Buffalo City Court.
