The property where Hamister is building his inflated price hotel is 300 feet from the entrance to Niagara Falls State Park. Mayor Dyster had to fight the council back in 2013 in order to sell the $1.5 million property to Hamister for $100,000.
Why, even as a parking lot, it made more than $100,000 per year. But Dyster fought it – telling everyone in the media that the hotel was going to be an upscale hotel with apartments and stores and would create 130 jobs.
