Hochul expected to use Mahoney Building for gubernatorial office when in Buffalo

Upon taking office on August 24th, Governor Kathy Hochul is expected to set up an Executive Chamber office inside the Mahoney State Office Building on Niagara Square at Court Street, which she will use when working from Buffalo.

Her advisors expect that could be as much as several days each week, though she is expected to maintain a very busy schedule traveling the State and working from the Executive Chamber Office on the second floor of the State Capitol while the legislature is in session.  The Buffalo office is expected to house communications staffers and legislative strategists.

Assembly Minority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes, along with State Senators Tim Kennedy and Sean Ryan, are all expected to co-locate their district offices inside the building in order to work seamlessly with Hochul’s staff.

The building will undergo minor renovations to its more dated office spaces and will be newly equipped with a telecommunications studio.
