Ottawa-based political operatives rumor that Justin Trudeau and Ben Mulroney — both the eldest sons of long-serving Prime Ministers — at least once enjoyed each other’s company during a tryst in the early 2000s, before they each later married.
The young men have been friends since their youth. Trudeau is four years older than Mulroney. The Chronicle is unable to confirm the widely circulating rumor that former CBC News reporter Amy MacPherson was involved in the three-way.
Trudeau later married Sophie Gregoire in 2005, and Mulroney later married Jessica Brownstein in 2008.
