Lisa Chimera, Kenmore’s triple-dipper, wants another public salary

Lisa Chimera is running for the County Legislature, but the well-heeled public servent’s salary is quickly causing a political stir in the 3rd legislative district, which encompasses parts of North Buffalo and Tonawanda.

Chimera works for the Kenmore-Tonawanda school district, salaried at $97,174 per annum in 2018, while her husband earns another $106,208.   With another $19,452 salary from her part-time position on the Town Board, Chimera and her husband, Matthew, earn $222,836 on local taxpayers.

If she is elected to the Erie County Legislature, the couple will earn another salary — at $42,588 for the part-time position.

Her critics cast her as “a triple-dipper going for a fourth scoop.”  Some question whether one person is able to commit to such a substantial full time and part-time positions simultaneously.  They worry that her students will be negatively impacted.

The Democratic Party primary is scheduled for June 25th.

Lisa’s brother-in-law, Seri, earns $86,996 from the Kenmore-Tonawanda schools and is promoting Matthew Chimera’s bid for school board.

  1. Sorry, if she is doing a good job – and she is – as a tax payer in Ken-Ton and in Erie County I have no problem with her being paid.

    • I love Lynn’s response. She doesn’t pay taxes; she consumes them. Also, stating you have no problem with her being paid misconceives the nature of taxes. You must pay whether or not you have a problem with it.

  3. I have an issue with the friends and family employment plan in Ken-Ton. Mr.Chimera retired and is running for school board (unpaid position). Mrs. Chimera will not be a Town Councilwoman if she wins the Leg seat – and I think she couldn’t run again for Town board. 14 years is enough. So technically – Mr. Chimera will enjoy a healthy state pension, Mrs. Chimera will continue working with her family in Ken-Ton and probably will join the 6 figure club next year. And if she wins she will get a Leg salary, $42,6XX.

Too much Chimera for my taste.

  4. Lisa Does NOT BELIEVE IN FREEDOM OF SPEECH. She deleted her only COMMENT posted on facebook MINE and 2 on Instagram. I believe shes acting as a typical politician and out for her own agendas. I am not even in her voting district and I am getting her voting propaganda which is my right to refer to it as MAIL SPAM.
